FCS Ambassadors
Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) Ambassadors is committed to enhancing the economic and personal well-being of Oklahoma families and youth through research-based information.
Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Family and Consumer Sciences Ambassadors is an association of individuals, organizations, and business enterprises who have a strong interest in and desire to support Extension family and youth programs.
History
Since 1991, when the Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Family and Consumer Sciences Ambassadors was created, the organization has awarded over 300 grants totaling over $100,000 for county, multi-county, and state programming. The grant program was expanded to include Oklahoma Home and Community Education in 1996. Margaret Edsel Fitch Fellowships established in 1998 and the Blackwell Legacy Award established in 2009 have awarded over $102,000. (Award numbers and amounts are as of FY21) .
Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Family and Consumer Sciences Ambassadors is committed to enhancing the economic and personal well-being of Oklahoma families and youth through research-based information. This commitment is achieved by:
- Providing support to family and youth education
- Becoming involved in issues and concerns that impact Oklahoma families
- Providing grants for professional study opportunities
- Supporting evaluation studies documenting the impact of family education programs
- Providing counsel to improve programs for Oklahoma families and youth
- Supporting the only organized program of private funding for Cooperative Extension Family and Consumer Sciences
We honor and appreciate our charter members. Their vision and leadership created the foundation to build Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Family and Consumer Sciences Ambassadors into who we are today, supporting research-based information and educational programming benefiting Oklahoma communities, families and youth.

Grant Applications Due April 10
Only Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Services (OCES) employees, and Oklahoma Home and Community Education (OHCE) members are eligible for these awards. Please apply for grants through the InfoReady Portal.
InfoReady Portal Instructions:
- Access the InfoReady Portal (use Chrome or Edge, not Safari)
- Navigate to the InfoReady portal
- Log in using your OKEY credentials (e.g., username and password). If you do not have OKEY credentials, you will have to create an InfoReady account.
- Find Opportunities
- Browse or search for available grant opportunities using keywords or filters (e.g., category, deadline).
- Click on a grant opportunity to view detailed information, including eligibility criteria and application requirements.
- Review Requirements
- Carefully read the application instructions, deadlines and required documents.
- Prepare all necessary materials (e.g. proposal, budget, letters of support).
- Start the Application
- Select the grant opportunity and click "Apply."
- Complete all required fields in the application form.
- Upload Supporting Documents (if required)
- Attach required documents as specified in the application guidelines.
- Save and Review
- Save your application regularly. "Save as Draft" button is in the lower left corner of the screen. You will have a chance to "preview" your answers one final time before submitting.
- Review the entire application for accuracy and completeness before submission.
- Submit Application
- Once all fields are complete and documents (if required) are attached, click "Submit."
