OSU Extension helps Oklahomans solve local issues and concerns, promote leadership and manage resources wisely. 

Extension celebrates 110th anniversary

OSU Extension has been empowering Oklahomans to make informed choices with research-based knowledge for 110 years. While programming has evolved over decades, educators are still at the heart of every county Extension office. Specializing in family and consumer sciences, agriculture and natural resources, economic development, community health, and 4-H youth development, these educators are liaisons between Oklahomans and OSU.

At our Stillwater campus and experiment stations throughout the state, faculty members conduct research on agriculture, natural resources, rural economies, and social issues to address the needs of Oklahomans.

Instruction

Oklahoma State uses this research to continually improve the quality and content of its undergraduate and graduate academic programs.

Extension Educators

OSU Extension offers employee organizations for professional development and networking opportunities. The Oklahoma Extension Association of Family and Consumer Sciences educates professionals to empower individuals and families to make informed decisions. The Oklahoma Association of Extension Agriculture Agents help strengthen the connection between extension and agriculture.

New Frontiers

New Frontiers is a capital campaign to raise funds for a new, state-of-the-art teaching, research and Extension facility for OSU Agriculture.

OSU Listens To Our Communities

In spring and summer 2019, OSU Extension hosted community forums at sites across the state of Oklahoma. The forums sought to ensure that a wide range of community members were engaged so that their opinions and perspectives on important issues would be represented in OSU Extension’s strategic planning.
