Pecans are the pick of the season

As pecan harvest begins, OSU Extension explores the history, entrepreneurship and economic value of Oklahoma's native pecan industry.
A red metal pecan shaker encircles the bottom half of a pecan tree. Leaves and green pecans fall from the tree's limbs. A man in jeans, a gray hat and a brown flannel shirt stands out of focus in the far left of the picture, watching the pecan shaker work to harvest pecans.
