About Me

I grew up in California and have an extensive background in equine science. I graduated from Feather River Community College with an associate degree in equine studies and earned a bachelor’s in agricultural science and technology from Texas A&M-Commerce. I also have a teaching certificate in agriculture, food and natural resources and taught high school chemistry and biology for one year in Vernon, Texas, before beginning my Extension role.

My goal is to bring back several of the 4-H programs that Harmon County used to offer such as the Shooting Sports Club and Horse Club. I’m focused on increasing participation in the wheat, cattle, forage and horticulture activities and encouraging our producers to attend the Red River Crops Conference.

I plan to conduct research, continue my agricultural education and pursue a career of lifelong learning. My experience in equine science and cattle ranching and my interests in hunting, fishing and spending time outdoors will help me grow in my position as an Extension educator.
