Invasive Species
Invasive species are plants, animals or pathogens that are non-native (or alien) to the ecosystem under consideration whose introduction causes or is likely to cause economic or environmental harm or harm to human health. (Executive Order 13112).
They can be found in every type of habitat and they interfere with the current ecosystem, they compete for food or space, and place other resident species at increased risk of extinction.
