A Well-designed School Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Program is comprehensive, adaptable, responsible, economical, and sustainable.

The program should use all effective tools to manage pests, be able to be modified to address any pest situation, it should do the least harm to people and the environment, it should be economical sound and the program should reduce pest problems over the long-term. Integrated Pest Management (IPM) principles can be applied to virtually every aspect of our lives, including our schools.
