The Community and Economic Development program seeks to empower Oklahoma’s communities
to achieve their local visions through education and technical assistance. With a
focus on sustainable economic development, this Extension program facilitates strategic
planning for economic development and provides various types of data and analysis
to support local economic development efforts.

lent out across 30 rural Oklahoma libraries thanks to the Hotspot Lending Program for patrons without regular home internet connection for better access to online information, online learning for school-aged children and remote working for adults
Top 10 Nationally
OSU Extension ranks in the top 10 nationally for participation in the Affordable Connectivity Program, a federal initiative that provides discounted internet service to low-income households
91 Training Opportunities
County Government Training Programs were offered to 3,709 local government participants.
These efforts helped government officers and their staff learn how to perform mandated
duties more effectively, efficiently, and with greater knowledge and awareness.
