This week on SUNUP:
- Maira Rodrigues Duffeck, OSU Extension row crop pathologist, confirms that corn stunt, a disease new to Oklahoma, has been confirmed in the state.
- Ashleigh Faris, OSU Extension entomologist, discusses the corn leafhopper, which is the insect that transmits corn stunt disease.
- Jonathan Cammack, OSU Extension livestock entomologist, says the Asian longhorned tick was found on Oklahoma cattle sold in Missouri, confirming the presence of this tick in the state. Dr. Cammack also has recommendations for stopping the spread of this insect.
- SUNUP host Lyndall Stout meets with a Pawnee County corn producer to see how harvest is progressing. We also hear from Rick Clovis, OSU Extension agricultural educator in Pawnee and Osage Counties.
- SUNUP's Kurtis Hair packs his bags and heads to Scotland to follow a group of OSU students studying abroad and learning about agriculture in the UK.
