President's Message

Encouragement: The action of giving someone support, confidence, or hope.

As I think about what to write as my first message to you, our CE-FCS Ambassadors members, I first want to thank you for your confidence in me as I serve as your President. One day as I began my workday, I heard these words: Enthusiasm, Energetic, Persistence, and Appreciation and thought to myself, ‘can I be these words today?’  I appreciate all who answered my request to serve on our committees and I am encouraged by your willingness to serve! I am encouraged by the number of dedicated members who have made their annual donation to CE-FCS Ambassadors and if you have not yet please consider and donate. How? Go to our website: https://okla.st/fcsamb.  Some may choose to donate using the QR code.  The minimum donation to be a CE-FCS Ambassador member is $10 per year.  To be eligible to apply for CE-FCS Ambassador grants, one must have donated a minimum of $25 for the year. Thank you for your leadership!

I encourage you to review and apply for grants to help provide new educational opportunities in your communities; you are valuable leaders. Be persistent, encourage others to also apply. You do excellent work, and we need to share it with others! Challenges are and will always be present and I am encouraged knowing we can call upon each other for suggestions. Each day is a new day bringing opportunities to encourage, be enthusiastic and energize each other as we provide education within the counties we serve.

Thank you to our officers, board of directors, committee members and chairs for your dedication to CE-FCS Ambassadors. Together we can make a difference! QR Code

Advisor & Ex-Officio Message

Greetings from the Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) Extension state office! I recently returned from a regional meeting of other Extension professionals and FCS program leaders. I have always been amazed by the bond that Extension has across the states and program areas. We are all interested in helping the people in our communities! When I think of FCS in Oklahoma, I think of FCS Ambassadors. What started so many years ago has grown into a million-dollar fund that is used to support existing efforts and try out new projects. Think of your community: can Ambassadors be used to support your work? As always, thank you, thank you for your contributions to the well-being of Oklahomans.
You make a difference!
