Empowerment Through Collective Action: Strengthening African American Communities
Dr. Brown has developed a program centered on the principles of Collective Action and Community Resilience, tailored to bolster efforts within African American communities. Due to the disproportion disparities facing the African American community in the areas of wealth, health, and education this initiative aims to empower individuals across all age groups by fostering engagement and establishing robust accountability structures. By leveraging this approach, the program seeks to illuminate the latent potential within individuals, nurturing a realization of their capacity to effectuate positive change and fortify the very fabric of their communities.
Strengthening Connections with Community Based-Organizations
With this program, Dr. Brown aims to maximize endeavors by supporting the development of symbiotic relationships between Extension and community-based organizations. Through collaborative synergy, this program aids outreach and impact, facilitating a more profound engagement with individuals sharing a common drive for achieving parallel objectives. Such concerted efforts aspire to leverage collective strengths, expand networks, and enhance the overall effectiveness in furtherance of mutual goals.
