The goal of Family and Consumer Sciences is to help Oklahoma's families, youth, and individuals develop and grow in safe and healthy ways. This is approached through research-based education that focuses on building upon our understanding of the different aspects of their lives and how they affect others. We survey the population in Oklahoma in each county through issue scanning and our local program advisory committees (PACs) to learn about their needs and how we can help provide education that helps people improve society and the economy.

Co-Parenting For Resilience

The Co-Parenting for Resilience program or programs like it are now court-mandated for all parents of minor children in the State of Oklahoma divorcing for reasons of incompatibility. Co-Parenting classes are held in Okfuskee County monthly. The fee is $35. If you plan to attend a Co-Parenting class please reserve four hours to complete the class. In addition to on-site classes, OSU Extension offers an online option of the Co- Parenting for Resilience class for those participants who have been authorized by their judges to complete this program requirement online.
