4-H County Record Book Information
Parts of a Record Book
Place the following items in a 4-H folder:
- The County 4-H record book form
- One or more Project Report Sheets
- Up to two pages of pictures per project (with captions)
- Story (6-page maximum)
Requirements
To receive a medal (may receive up to two medals each year):
- Be enrolled in 4-H Online, in the project you are reporting on.
- Complete all pages of the Record Book.
- Participate in at least 8 club, county, district or state events during the year.
- Prepare at least 2 or more items for exhibit including 2 county fair exhibits, excludes livestock entries in the fair. Must be two entries in the indoor 4-H section of the fair.
- Present at least one speech or demonstration in any project area.
- Provide at least one form of leadership in any project area.
- Participate in at least one citizenship activity in any project area.
- Write your 4-H Story.
- Complete a page of photos.
- Record Book is due May 29, 2020 to your Club Leader or to the Extension Office.
To receive a Participation Certificate in a project area (may receive up to two participation certificates each year):
- Be enrolled in 4-H and paid enrollment fee.
- Include information on the record book but does not meet the minimum requirements for medal. Write your 4-H Story.
