Section 407 Agronomic Herbarium Collection
This collection shall consist of dried and pressed specimens of flowers, stems, leaves and other specified parts of native and/or cultivated agronomic crops. Each complete specimen should be mounted on a separate 8½” X 11” agronomy herbarium card available by printing on card stock from the Oklahoma FFA website (under the “Participate” link). All information areas should be completed and enclosed in a notebook or binder. Each specimen should be covered with a transparent plastic or similar covering to protect it from damage. Quality of exhibits, including spelling will be considered. Cards must be dated and numbered. Name, chapter and grade must be included on inside back cover. Required Table of Contents in the front of the book. Everything (cover, table of contents can be computer generated except the information on the herbarium cards. The information on the Herbarium Cards must be hand written in ink.
The top 5 books in each class will be displayed. Only one Agronomic Collection allowed per individual. Exhibit cards in a plain one-inch (1”) size hardback notebook for classes 1 & 2 or a plain (2”) size hardback notebook for classes 3 & 4 with one (1) FFA emblem and the lettering “FFA Agronomic Herbarium Collection” on the front only.
