Areas of Expertise
I started at Adair County Extension in 2015 as a temporary office worker. I fell in love with Extension and all that we do. By the end of 2016 I was hired as the County’s NEA. A job I absolutely loved! I got to meet new people and play with kids while teaching My Plate every day. In 2019 our office needed administrative support and since I had prior dealings as an office helper, I already knew the ropes. I was hired into my current role in June. In May of 2020, I graduated Northeastern State University with a bachelor’s in science.
I have worked very hard on creating lines of communication between all members of our office. And establishing an environment where members can ask for help and collaborate on projects together. I try to create an inviting friendly atmosphere for our clients. As well as, making sure they know we can meet any needs they may have or point them in the right direction if Extension cannot.
I maintain all of our office records and keep everything up to date. I also keep track and maintain our youth and adult 4-H enrollments online. As well as, work with community partners and leaders in those records. I help out during programs when needed. I try to elevate some of the stress and work from my educators in helping them in as many ways as I can. Even if just an extra set of hands.
