What Is Reality Money Check?

Reality Money Check (RMC) is an interactive financial education simulation designed to teach students the realities of adult budgeting. Students take on the role of an adult with a job, income, and family scenario. They then visit booths that represent real-life expenses—like housing, utilities, groceries, insurance, transportation, and more—to build a balanced monthly budget.

Community partnerships

are at the heart of this experience
Local banks, credit unions, insurance companies, workforce centers, and other community organizations help staff booths and bring real-world expertise to the simulation. Their involvement not only brings authenticity to the experience, but also helps students connect with financial professionals in their community.
