Professional Development
The Professional Development (PD) department is an extension unit of the College of
Engineering, Architecture and Technology (CEAT) and provides resources as needed to
increase enterprise opportunities for the college and university.
CEAT PD is among the leading providers for training in the world and has been approved as an OSHA Training Institute Education Center (OTIEC)
as of 2017. The goal is to provide OSHA Training Institute (OTI) Training classes
and continuing education programs that will meet the required training and learning
objectives already in place, which includes essential classroom and hands-on applicable
training to safety and health field representatives, technicians and engineers!
These courses allow students to receive necessary training to effectively perform
their job duties, meet the regulations of safety standards in construction, general
industry, maritime Industry and Oil & Gas entities, and at the conclusion, the classes
will meet the expectations of OSHA, while students receive Continuing Education Units
that can be applied to their professional affiliation's requirements.
CEAT PD promotes the overall college wide STEM initiative work with K-12 outreach, and provides an affordable, applicable, specialized development opportunity to both current and aspiring professionals seeking training and/or certification within the highly technical fields of Engineering, Architecture and Technology.
