Horstmann Blue Atlas Cedar
Cedrus atlantica
Horstmann Blue Atlas Cedar is a smaller, more compact version of the species which
offers striking powder-blue foliage. Horstmann is a graceful evergreen tree reaching
up to 12’ high and 8’ wide. Because of its small stature compared to the species,
it makes a perfect candidate for the smaller, urban landscape.
Water deeply and regularly during the first few growing seasons to establish an extensive
root system; reduce frequency once established. Atlas Cedar is quite drought tolerant
once established. It is best located in an area sheltered from high winds.
No serious insect or disease problems.
