Sausage and Pepper Skewers Sandwiches
Try a non-traditional twist to traditional sausage and pepper skewers with this sandwich recipe.
Ingredients
- 16 oz. smoked sausage cut into 1" pieces
- 1 red bell pepper cut into 1" pieces
- 1 green bell pepper cut into 1" pieces
- 1 medium red onion cut into 1" pieces
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- ½ Tbsp Italian seasonings
- 4 slices provolone cheese cut into strips
- 4 Small hoagie rolls
Directions
- Toss peppers and onions in olive oil and Italian seasoning
- Place on metal skewers and grill on medium about 5 min on each side or until browned.
- Place provolone on hoagie roll and top with veggies and sausage from the skewer.
- Serve with mustard or Italian dressing.
