Roasted Garbanzo Snack
This is an easy snack to make when you want a healthier alternative to your chip craving. It only takes 45 minutes to cook these healthy treats.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 pinch black pepper
- 1 dash cayenne pepper
- 1 can (15 ounces) garbanzo beans or chickpeas, rinsed and well drained
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350oF.
- In medium bowl combine olive oil, cumin, garlic powder, chili powder, salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper. Mix well.
- Pat garbanzo beans dry with paper towel. Add to olive oil mixture and toss to coat.
- Spread coated garbanzos on an ungreased baking sheet. Make sure they are in one layer and not crowded.
- Roast, stirring occasionally, until browned and crispy, about 45 minutes.
