About Me

I love working with people and helping them to better themselves, which OSU Extension has allowed me to do since I joined in March of 1993. Teamwork is the key to my success. I believe in living Hellen Keller’s famous quote, “Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much.” My Program Advisory Council, fellow Extension educators, cooperating state agency partners and I have worked together to develop many timely and relevant programs over the years, each one targeting local needs and helping to solve local issues that often mirror state, regional and national concerns as well. The result has been a number of programs that began locally and then blossomed into statewide efforts, to great success. That is the Extension model, and one of which I am proud to be a part. I am an alumnus of Southwestern Oklahoma State University, having earned my bachelor’s degree in vocational home economics in 1993 and my master’s degree in early childhood education in 1997.
