About Me
I strongly believe in the ability of OSU Extension to educate, empower and enhance the quality of life for Oklahomans of all ages, urban and rural residents alike. To that end, I coordinate family and consumer science programs in partnership with local government agencies, schools, churches and civic organizations. I also serve as adviser for seven Oklahoma Home and Community Education volunteer groups in Tulsa County.
In partnership with the Oklahoma County Extension Office, we developed the Master Wellness Volunteer program. This program provides volunteers with 30 hours of training in nutrition, dietary guidelines, food safety, healthy lifestyle choice and physical activity. In return, the volunteers agree to give back 30 hours of community service as a program volunteer, thus helping to educate others about ways to promote health and wellness. I hold a bachelor’s degree in home economics education and community service from OSU.
