About Me
I hold a bachelor of science in animal science from Oklahoma State University and a master of griculture in agricultural education and leadership from Oklahoma State University. While in college, I was involved in the OSU veterinary science, swine, and shotgun sports clubs plus was honored to be a teaching assistant for the Cline Equine Teaching Center's breeding and foaling program. During my time as a teaching assistant, I was privileged to help teach the classes, deliver foals, be involved in the annual breeding plan of the AQHA herd, and assist at breeding labs.
I began my career in Extension in 2020, as the county Extension administrative support specialist for Washington County in Oklahoma and was excited to transfer about 40 miles south to Tulsa County as an educator upon completing my master's degree. My husband and I are 4th generation cattlemen, helping his family's land management and cow/calf operation where we raise Angus/ Charolais calves and replacement heifers while also producing hay and selling hay.
I enjoy helping all people learn, grow and succeed. Whatever their endeavor, whether it’s youth beginning their 4-H projects and life skills or ranchers participating in the Master Cattleman program. With 4-H, kids build life skills by experiencing hands-on projects in areas like science, health, agriculture and civic engagement – helping them to grow confidence, independence, resilience and compassion.
