4-H Youth Development

About Me

I have a bachelor's degree in animal science production management from Oklahoma State University. I grew up in Indiana showing horses in the American Quarter Horse Association and 10 years in the 4-H Horse and Pony Club. I was also an active FFA member where I gave speeches, judged and gave demonstrations. I have a very strong equestrian background, but I have always had the mind set to learn as much as I can, so I branched out to other animals as often as I could.

I spend my free time with my husband and children on our commercial cow-calf and wheat farm that has been in my husband's family for five generations. We enjoy being able to ride our horses, ATV, or UTV through the cattle. We have a couple of family dogs, which my girls currently work with in the 4-H Dogs programs.

When children in the community see that 4-H is able to provide the tools to help them grow and set a foundation, they then become future leaders and pillars of the community. Helping these children have the best possible path to achieve their goals is key, we do this by providing workshops, activities and a positive example.
