About Me
My mission is to help producers make the best decisions that affect their operational bottom line, which in turn, has a positive impact on their livelihood. I strive to continually update myself on the latest scientific and technological advances related to agriculture – especially in terms of new products and management practices entering the marketplace – so I can provide timely, research-based information to the people of Payne County. I have been with Extension for more than 30 years, starting in Texas before moving to Stillwater in 1995. We run on a team concept in our office, with each member providing valuable insights to whatever challenges we are trying to help county residents solve. I also strive to be a positive voice for the people and mission of the Cooperative Extension Service and have served as president and vice-president of the Oklahoma Association of Extension Agricultural Agents.
I am a Cowboys alumnus, having obtained my Bachelor of Science degree in animal science from Oklahoma State in 1985. I then continued my education and in 1991earned my Master of Science degree in agriculture from East Texas State University, now called Texas A&M Commerce.
