Making the Best Better!

Muskogee County 4-H provides youth with the opportunity to take the lead role in promoting positive youth development within the community through community service, peer mentoring, youth and teen led programs and youth and adult partnerships.

 

Specific Activities included:

  • Youth in Action
  • Roundup
  • 4-H Camp
  • 4-H Local Clubs
  • Teen Leaders Council

Civic engagement through youth/adult partnerships training to prepare youth and adults to work side by side on boards, advisories and community citizenship activities.

  • Pop Tab Collections
  • Veterans and nursing home programs
  • Eyeglass Recycling
  • Aluminum Can Recycling
  • Community Beautification Projects

 

4-H Clubs

4-H clubs are informative, practical, fun environments for youth to learn public speaking and leadership skills as they gain knowledge in a project area of their choice.  4-H clubs are led by youth with the assistance of a certified Volunteer Leader.  They meet in schools, community centers, libraries and even homes.

 

4-H School Enrichment

Programs through OCES can assist in making the classroom a fun and exciting place to learn.  The 4-H program has worked hard with Muskogee County Schools for a number of years to promote a positive learning experience.  Sample programs include:  Rocketry, Lego Robots, Chick Embryo and many more!
