Alex Tunnell

NEA Nutrition Education Assistant
About Me
I have lived in Southeast Oklahoma since 2006 and graduated from Broken Bow High School
in 2015. My husband and I have a small cow/calf ranch where we are raising our two
children. In the near future, I look forward to finishing my bachelor's degree in
education and hope to continue to thrive and expand my work here at McCurtain County
Extension.
As the nutrition education assistant for McCurtain County, I am able to provide adults
and youth with classes and resources through Community Nutrition Education Programs,
that will help them understand the importance of eating healthy and participating
in regular physical activities. My love for helping and educating youth started at
a local school where I worked as a paraprofessional for about 6 years here in Idabel.
As a mother, I realize how important it is to be healthy and teach our kids to be
healthy. I also enjoy the time I get to spend with adults in my community and seeing
them make changes they can feel good about after going through the program. I look
forward to continuing to serve and make a positive impact in McCurtain County.
