About Me
My personal mission is to teach local community citizens practical skills and knowledge that will make their lives easier, healthier and more rewarding.
Being an Extension educator brings a new experience every day. This keeps the job interesting and challenging. It is also so rewarding bringing learning experiences to people of all ages and backgrounds. This has meant everything from teaching T-shirt quilt-making to 4-H youth who are learning to sew, to bringing canning classes into the Hispanic community and having an interpreter with the class to explain the instructions as I give them.
I hold a bachelor of science degree in family and consumer sciences from Harding University, and a master of science degree in human resources administration from East Central University.
