About Me
Extension has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. My mom was an Extension educator, as well as my grandfather. My brother and I both saw this as a great career path. Being an Extension educator means I get to work with all different people, not only in my counties, but across the state. My job is never the same from day to day. I enjoy working with agriculture producers and youth who are involved in 4-H. It’s great to see these kids grow and accomplish things they didn’t know they were capable of. What’s fun is to see these youth take what they’ve learned in the showring and apply it to daily life. Showing livestock is a tool we use in 4-H, but it teaches them responsibility, public speaking skills and how to relate to others, all of which are skills they’ll use throughout their lives. They also learn from losing, not just winning. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in animal science from Cameron University and a Master of Science in agriculture from Oklahoma State University.
