About Me

I am an educator because I want to see the youth of today succeed tomorrow. I hold two associate’s degrees in applied science: agriculture emphasis and veterinary technology, as well as a bachelor of science degree in animal science production option. My inspiration for my job is the youth I get to work with. I have the opportunity to work with so many young people across the county and make a small impact on them. Whether I am helping a 4-Hers with their project or record book, or I am teaching school enrichment and get to see the light bulb go off for a child, I can say that I am making a difference. One of my favorite programs I teach is Yoga for Kids. My favorite part of the routine is when the kids are fully relaxed and I teach them how to say words of affirmation to themselves. It is very important for a child to know they are strong and loved and I love teaching them to love themselves. Moments like these are why I enjoy my job.
