Classes
- Classes are an exhibit of ten (10) native or introduced annual, biennial or perennial plants mounted on plywood, pegboard, or other suitable material approximately 3’ x 4’. Two holes 1/2” in diameter and 1” from the top should be drilled in the board to facilitate displaying the exhibit.
- Single plants or bundles should not to exceed 1” in diameter. No plant should extend above or below the display board. Plants must be labeled with the common name. Judges will use the reference books listed in this section. Label with letters about 1/2” high. Labels may be placed above, below or across the plants.
- Class 1. Forages with desirable grazing value for cattle
- Class 2. Forages with undesirable grazing value for cattle
- Class 3. Forages with desirable browsing value for wildlife (must specify species)
- Class 4. Forages with undesirable browsing value for wildlife (must specify species
