About Me

My formal educational background was general home economics education with a minor in accounting.  I taught for five years at the high school level, then transitioned to Extension. I have always enjoyed personal finances and housing. One of my main programs areas has been First Time Home Buyers education, as this encompasses the finances and housing aspects. I also enjoy teaching any type of personal finances and have taught both adults and teenagers.

              

I have started a monthly educational lesson, partnering with the local library to provide a fast lunch and nutritional education. This has been well received. The LEAD (Live Well, Eat Well, Be Active with Diabetes) has been very popular. For youth programming, besides the traditional 4-H events and activities, I teach Yoga for Kids and present numerous after school programs.
