Carol Hart
County Extension Director | Family and Consumer Sciences/4-H Educator
About Me
Family & Consumer Sciences and 4-H have always been an important part of my life. My Grandmother was a member of a Comanche County Home Demonstration club and she was a 4-H Volunteer Leader. I was a 9 year Comanche County 4-H member and actively involved in FHA & Home Economics at Sterling H.S.
These interests have led me to the role that I am in today – Family & Consumer Sciences Educator and 4-H Youth Development in Comanche County.
I truly enjoy the role of Educator; I spent 12 years teaching Family & Consumer Sciences in the public schools before moving into work with OSU Extension. I enjoy the broad scope of Education that Family & Consumer Sciences covers, but my favorite areas to teach are probably sewing and parenting.
After graduating from Sterling HS, I received my Bachelor of Science in Vocational Home Economics from Cameron University. I lived and worked in Cotton County for 15 years before moving to a family farm in eastern Comanche County.
