About Me
I was a nine-year member of 4-H in Muskogee County and served as a state 4-H vice president in 1990-91. My career with OSU Extension began in McCurtain County in the areas of 4-H and family consumer sciences (Special Project ES/WIC). In 2002, I moved to Cherokee County as a 4-H educator, then in 2004 became the FCS educator. I am involved in a wide variety of FCS and 4-H programs for youth and adults. I especially enjoy teaching food preservation classes and believe it is important for people to know a variety of ways to preserve the foods they enjoy eating all year round. I hold a bachelor of science degree in human environmental sciences, home economics education and community services from Oklahoma State University. I also was a member of the 2012 Updated School Nutrition Standards Training Team.
