Woods County Extension's Winter Growing & Feeding Program is taking place Nov. 30, 2021 at 5:30 pm at Northwest Technology in Alva, OK. Cattle in a field with grass.

 

The three sessions offered are as follows:

 

Controlling Beef Cow Wintering Cost

Goal: Feeding programs to maintain cow body condition while controlling skyrocketing feed costs.

Stocker Cattle Growing Programs: Hay & Supplement Feeding Options

Goal: Analyze dry lot hay and supplementation feeding options for growing cattle to replace wheat pasture

Presenter: Greg Highfill, Woods County Extension Agriculture Educator

 

Marketing Growing Stocker Calves: How Long Do I Feed Them

Goal: Analyze vlaue of additional weight gain in stocker calves vs the daily feeding cost - plus the imact of price trends.
