  • At the 2025 Rural Economic Outlook Conference, Heather Hampton Knodle, an Illinois farmer and member of the FCC precision agriculture task force, talks with SUNUP Host Lyndall Stout about how producers can incorporate artificial intelligence into their operations.
  • Josh Campbell, OSU Extension beginning farmer and rancher coordinator, has information on OSU’s Beginning Farmer and Rancher Apprenticeship program.
  • In the Mesonet weather report, Emma White, OSU Extension agricultural meteorologist, gives an update on the summer crop progress in the state. State climatologist Gary McManus shows how dry the state is right now.
  • Derrell Peel, OSU Extension livestock marketing specialist, explains his talk at the Rural Economic Outlook Conference before giving an update on New World screwworm.
  • In Cow-Calf Corner, Mark Johnson, OSU Extension beef cattle breeding specialist, discusses carcass weights.
  • Dave Lalman, OSU Extension beef cattle specialist, invites viewers to the fall lineup of the Rancher’s Thursday Lunchtime Series.
  • Finally, SUNUP learns about bears in Oklahoma and the positive impact they can have on the ecosystem. Interviews include Sue Fairbanks, an associate professor and researcher in the OSU’s Department of Natural Resource Ecology and Management, as well as Matt Hensley, a senior biologist with the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation.
