• SUNUP is in Ottawa County to see the partnership between OSU and a local producer to help study wheat varieties in that part of the state.
• Brian Arnall, OSU Extension precision soil nutrient management specialist, says that with recent rains, producers should consider fungicide if they have good standing wheat in the fields. Dr. Arnall also has management tips for summer crops.
• In the Mesonet Weather Report, state climatologist Gary McManus looks at the soil moisture maps and predicts warmer weather is on the way.
• John Michael Riley, OSU agricultural economist, says China is one of the main importers of U.S. soybeans, and trade policy impacts that market.
