Less sugar, more exercise can reduce the risks of type 2 diabetes

Type 2 diabetes is a serious condition that can cause many health problems if not managed well. Eating too much sugar can lead to belly fat, also known as central adiposity. This extra fat around your stomach can cause insulin resistance, where your cells don’t respond properly to insulin, leaving your blood sugar levels too high.
