The Balko and Hooker dryland variety trials in the Panhandle were harvested this season; however, we will not be publishing yield results from these locations. Severe drought resulted in extremely low yields and high variability across the trials. The coefficient of variation (CV) exceeded 50%, indicating neither trial provided the precision needed to make reliable comparisons among varieties. Under these conditions, any apparent yield differences are more likely to reflect field variability than true variety performance. Because our goal is to provide producers with reliable, research-based information for variety selection, we have chosen not to publish data that do not meet our quality standards. We appreciate your understanding and remain committed to providing results you can use with confidence.
