Try a non-traditional twist to traditional sausage and pepper skewers with this sandwich recipe.
Ingredients
16 oz. smoked sausage cut into 1" pieces
1 red bell pepper cut into 1" pieces
1 green bell pepper cut into 1" pieces
1 medium red onion cut into 1" pieces
1 Tbsp olive oil
½ Tbsp Italian seasonings
4 slices provolone cheese cut into strips
4 Small hoagie rolls
Directions
Toss peppers and onions in olive oil and Italian seasoning
Place on metal skewers and grill on medium about 5 min on each side or until browned.
Place provolone on hoagie roll and top with veggies and sausage from the skewer.
Serve with mustard or Italian dressing.
