The concept of the Plant-It OK App is choosing the correct plants for the correct environment so they can thrive. Over the years, OSU Cooperative Extension Horticulturists have created and updated several fact sheets and publications to educate the public on the right plants for their landscapes in Oklahoma.

The Plant-It OK App brings this plant information such as water, light, and soil requirements, cold tolerance, size, color, season of interest, and wildlife value to the consumer in an up-to-date, easily accessible form to provide Oklahomans with plant selections that have proven to do well in our state. These include recommendations for trees, shrubs, perennials, ornamental and turf grasses, ground covers, vines, and annuals that will help Oklahomans find the right plants for not only their particular place in the state but also specific areas in each individual landscape.
