Battling The Heat

Heat stress occurs when the body cannot maintain a healthy temperature due to excessive heat. Symptoms range from mild heat cramps to severe heat exhaustion or heat stroke. Preventive measures include staying hydrated, wearing lightweight clothing and taking frequent breaks in cool areas.
