About The Program

This program is designed to help small-scale and beginning producers to strengthen their agricultural operations and prepare for any risks they may face.

Through workshops, hands-on learning, peer learning and mentoring, participants will build skills in financial management, marketing, production and farm business planning. The program also connects producers with resources, funding opportunities and additional support.

Marketing Risk Management

Marketing Risk Management programs helps producers explore market diversification, cooperative marketing, pricing, different market channels, wholesale opportunities and building relationships with buyers.

Human and Production Risk Management focuses on succession planning, heirs' property, communication, intergenerational collaboration, production planning and opportunities for shared or cooperative resources.

Youth Development introduces young people to agriculture through hands-on activities, agricultural education and opportunities to interact with working producers.
