Biography

Shelby Lofton is an agriculture and 4-H Youth Development specialist with OSU Extension, serving Okmulgee County. She also serves the College of the Muscogee Creek Nation Extension through the Federally Recognized Tribal Extension Program–National Agricultural and Food Systems (FRTEP-NAAF). In this role, she works closely with tribal communities to provide educational programming that supports youth development, agriculture and community engagement.

Her primary responsibilities include tribal youth development and 4-H programming, program development and event coordination, agricultural outreach and producer education, and implementation of FRTEP initiatives. She is committed to creating meaningful opportunities for youth and supporting agricultural producers through research-based education and community partnerships.

Shelby earned a bachelor’s degree in agricultural sciences and natural resources from OSU in May 2021. She majored in animal science with a minor in agricultural economics and agribusiness, and also received certification in equine enterprise management.
