We are here to serve the citizens of Major County. Throughout the year there are several opportunities to showcase the talents and hard work of our communities. Some opportunities are provided within the county, other opportunities exist outside the county at the district and state level. Exhibitions such as these are  the culmination of a project work they have completed and to receive feedback on the quality of their work.

Major County Free Fair

The Major County Free Fair takes place in September, at the Major County Fairgrounds in Fairview, OK. Events at the fair include an open horse expo, poultry show, rabbit show, youth and open livestock shows for cattle, swine, sheep and goats, and 4-H, FFA, OHCE and open class building exhibits. Other fair activities include crop and horticulture exhibits, OHCE and 4-H concession stands and a free meal.

Spring Jr. Livestock Show

The Major County Spring Jr. Livestock Show takes place in February each year at the Major County Fairgrounds in Fairview, OK. Activities at the event include junior livestock shows for cattle, swine, sheep and goats, Major County 4-H photography and consumer judging contests, and County Food Show and the annual livestock bonus auction.
