Oklahoma State University recently has received a $719,000 United States Department of Agriculture-National Institute of Food and Agriculture grant to help new farmers and ranchers get their start in Oklahoma. The first workshop for OSU’s Beginning Farmer and Rancher Program is the Beginning Farmer Garlic Workshop on Nov. 14, based on a research project started in 2023 to evaluate how 10 garlic varieties grow in the Oklahoma climate.
