About Me

I graduated from the University of Nebraska with my bachelor's in animal science and went on to earn my master's in animal science from Oklahoma State University. My role in OSU Extension as the northwest area livestock specialist includes beef nutrition, supplementation, ration evaluation and development, forages, backyard poultry, livestock management, cattle health and fly control.

I also assist educators with the Oklahoma Quality Beef Network, Master Cattlemen, Backyard Poultry and Cattle Nutrition and Management programs.

While my home state is Nebraska, I love that Oklahoma has shorter, milder winters and I appreciate my local neighborhood and church family in Kingfisher. I grew up on a small diversified family farming operation in South Central Nebraska. We raised dryland corn soybeans and alfalfa along with managing a commercial nursery to finish hog operation and a small cattle herd. We also operated The Petal Patch, a small plant nursery that is still in operation today.

I love that I can work with extension educators and Oklahoma producers every day to help solve real-world problems in the agriculture sector. No two days are the same.
