Come join Wagoner County Extension in the annual livestock, poultry and rabbit shows!

Check-In:

  • Cattle: 4:00 pm - 4:30 pm
  • Poultry: 5:00 pm - 5:45 pm
  • Rabbits: 5:00 pm - 5:45 pm

Cattle show starts at 5:00 pm.

Poultry show starts at 6:00 pm

Rabbit show starts at 6:00 pm.

 

  • Division A- Dairy Cattle

    Original registration papers only at check-in.

     

    Dairy Cattle Breeds

    1. Brown Swiss
    2. Holstein

    5. Shorthorn
    6. Other Recognized Breeds

     

    Division A Classes

    1. Heifer Calf
    2. Yearling
    3. Cow (2 Years Old)
    4. Cow (Production)

     

  • 4-H & FFA Rabbits

    All livestock must have current health papers.

     

    Rabbit Show Regulations

    1. All breeds will be judged according to the latest edition of the American Rabbit Breeders Association.
    2. Show Superintendent will determine show order.
    3. All animals must be identified by a permanent legible tattoo in the left ear. Legibility to be
    4. determined by the judge
    5. All rabbits must be free of disease. Any sign of disease and the rabbit will be required to leave
    6. the premises
    7. Classes /varieties in each breed will be as outlined in ARBA Standard of Perfection.
    8. Best of Breed for each breed will compete for Best of Show, Reserve Show. Best 4 Class and
    9. Best 6 Class respectively.
    10. Exhibitors must be in the show during the show unless showing other livestock and cleared by
    11. the Show Superintendent or they will be disqualified.
    12. Exhibitors must take care of their own rabbits while at the show.
    13. Exhibitors must have owned and cared for their rabbits for at least 60 days prior to the show.
    14. All breeds will be shown according to the classes listed below. If your breed is not listed, it will
    15. be entered under the "All Other Breeds" class and will be judged according to the latest ARBA
    16. Standard of Perfection for that breed.
    17. All other information must be filled out completely on entry form.
    18. All questions or comments will be directed to the Show Superintendent.

    Class 3 - English Lop

    Class 4 - French Lop

    Class 5 - Holland Lop

    Class 6 - Mini Lop

    Class 7 - Havana

    Class 8 - Himalayan

    Class 9 - Lionshead

    Class 10 - Mini Rex

    Class 11 - New Zealand

    Class 12 - Netherland Dwarf

    Class 13 - Palomino

    Class 14 - Polish

    Class 15 - Satin

    Class 16 - Silver Martin

    Class 17 - All Other Breeds

     

    Rabbit Showmanship

    Class 19 - Juniors, age 9-12

    Class 20 - Intermediate, age 13-15

    Class 21 - Seniors, age 16-19

     

  • 4-H & FFA Poultry

    Poullorum testing available at 4pm (Exhibit Hall Awning).

     

    Poultry Regulations

    1. Entries may be made in the following sections:
      1. Standard
      2. Turkey
      3. Bantam
      4. Waterfowl
    2. No birds under 6 months of age may be shown (WITH THE EXCEPTION OF PRODUCTION PENS) Sub-classes in each breed will be:
      1. Cock - a male 12 months or older
      2. Hen - a female 12 months or older
      3. Cockerel - a male 6-11 months
      4. Pullet - a female 6-11 months
    3. All varieties will be judged according to the latest edition of the American Standard of Perfection copyrighted by the American Poultry Association. Allowances will be made for lack of plumage because of the season.
    4. Poultry will be inspected for disease. Diseased birds will be rejected. Papers for a pullorum test must be turned in at time of check in. There will be a pullorum from 4-5pm on day of the show. Health papers must be before caging birds or they will be disqualified.
    5. Exhibitors are required to enter proper color, sex and ages of birds on entry form.
    6. Exhibitors must have owned and cared for their birds at least 60 days prior to the Wagoner County Show.
    7. Exhibitors must be present during the show unless showing other livestock and have been cleared by the show superintendent or they will be disqualified.
    8. Exhibitors must cage and care for their own birds.
    9. There must be at least three birds in a class to constitute a class. Otherwise, they will be shown in the "All Other Class" class. The show superintendent may combine classes at their discretion.
    10. All questions or comments will be directed to the Show Secretary

Sheep Show at 6:00 pm followed by the goat show.

Only one weigh-in per animal during species check-in.

 

  • Division B - Market Lambs

    Breeds will be divided into weight classes as determined by the Sheep Superintendent. All market lambs must be slick shorn about the hock. All lambs should meet breed classifications.

  • Division C - Market & Doe Goats

    Weight requirement - Minimum: 30 pounds

     

    Classes will be divided into weight classes as determined by Goat Superintendent. Doe kids must have a full set of baby teeth. Any doe shown in the market goat class cannot
    show in any breeding doe class.

  • Market Swine

    Breeds will be divided into weight classes as determined by Swine Superintendent. All swine should meet classifications.

     

    Weight Requirements:

    • Minimum: 150 pounds
    • Maximum: 320 pounds
