My Role

Summer currently lives in Stillwater, Oklahoma with her husband Jeremy and daughter Avery where they raise purebred Angus cattle. Summer was raised in a small town in Texas called Olney. Summer grew up very active in both 4-H and FFA when she was a youth. During her time in these organizations, Summer learned life skills that she uses as a 4-H Educator. Summer was very active in showing sheep and being a part of the leadership and citizenship projects. Summer attended Redlands Community College in El Reno, Oklahoma. During her time there, she was a member of the livestock judging team. She then made the move to Stillwater, Oklahoma to further her career and graduated with an associate degree from Oklahoma State University. During her time as an undergraduate, Summer was selected as an Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Services intern in Canadian County.

After completing a degree in Agricultural Leadership in the spring of 2013, Summer took her first official position as the Canadian County 4-H Youth Development Educator. After 2 years, Summer made the move back to Stillwater, Oklahoma and took a position as the Payne County 4-H Youth Development Educator. While working as a full-time Extension Educator, Summer received her Master in Agricultural Leadership from Oklahoma State University.
