About Me
My personal work mission is to help lower the community’s obesity rate, which has wide health and lifestyle implications. Adair and Muskogee counties are ranked among the highest for obesity in Oklahoma. If you have diabetes already or are concerned about your improving your health, we offer several programs such as classes for diabetes prevention, cooking and menu planning, running and walking. We recently received a USDA Farm-to-School Grant that lets us reach students to start shaping healthy lifestyles as well, physically, mentally and emotionally.
I hold a bachelor of science degree from Northeastern State University. I chose public health education because I want to make a difference in the lives of others. It is my hope that by sharing extension resources and demonstrating how even small changes can lead to success, we can build momentum and help more people.
