About Me

I attended Oklahoma Panhandle State University where I received my bachelor’s degree in natural sciences and physical education. After graduation, I taught for 31 years, and my love for teaching youth has continued as an Extension program assistant. I help create positive learning experiences and a safe environment for youth and adults to connect with their communities.

This position allows me to interact with community members through 4-H educational events and programs. We organize many different activities such as taking kids hiking for their wildlife projects, speech contests, county fairs and junior livestock shows, Farm Hand Olympics, Cupcake Wars and volunteer training. Additionally, we take 4-H members to camp every summer in June along with 4-H Roundup. I love working with youth, and this role allows me to make a positive impact on their lives through community involvement, healthy relationships and leadership development. I enjoy watching the light shine in the eyes of children when they succeed. They make me laugh and smile, and I’m happy to help them grow and explore the world.
